22 Years of Service in Chennai

Practising from his clinic in West Mambalam for the past 22 years, Dr. RS Rengan has been a trusted name in the medical landscape of Chennai. He operates at renowned institutions such as Apollo First Med Hospitals, Dr. Mehta’s Hospitals, and Medway Hospital in Chennai. His dedication to providing high-quality healthcare services has made him a respected figure among both patients and peers.

Both his sons are surgeons. Dr Vinayak Rengan is a surgical mentor and the founder of educational platforms surgtest and mortimergreen. He is also the CEO of Curium.life, one of India’s earliest startups that works on making surgery safer through deep learning. He is assisted at Curium by one of Dr Rengan’s students Dr Pravin M Sundaram, a brilliant academic surgeon. Dr Vinayak Rengan also teaches at IIT Madras as an adjunct faculty in the department of Engineering design at the Medical Imaging and Reconstruction Lab. He is currently pursuing his training in paediatric and neonatal surgery at SMS Medical College, Jaipur.

His second son Dr Shyam Sundar Rengan is pursuing his training in thoracic surgery at the prestigious Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. Dr Rengan has also mentored numerous surgeons and trained them to be better versions of themselves.
